He explained how everything worked, what to do if things went wrong, and when to know to call a professional. He encouraged us to ask questions and seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. We were recommended to use Ben from old Towne for a pre-purchase home inspection by our realtor who said he is "picky but that's what you want in a home inspector" and she couldn't have been more right! Ben was timely, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Any time you go through a home inspection is nerve racking, but Ben made us feel much more comfortable and explained everything in very clear terms even I could understand. He also did a great job of prioritizing which items were more major and/or expensive verses those that would be included in the report but weren't really cause for concern- which I appreciated and made him stand out from other inspectors we've used in the past. He had the detailed written report ready that same evening (on a Friday I might add), which way exceeded our expectations. He also was very direct with the areas he had hunches but wasn't 100% sure about without further investigation and had very reliable foundation specialists, etc. to refer us to. Even referred us to one of his competitors for a service he didn't provide. We could not be more pleased with Ben and would definitely recommend!!
